Nordic skiing in South Tyrol – the ultimate sporting event

Nordic skiing: in South Tyrol you find the perfect tracks

Nordic Skiing in South Tyrol is one of the most popular and also healthiest sports there is. In Val d’Ega/Eggental in South Tyrol every cross-country skiers will get their money’s worth – no matter classic or skater, beginner or pro.

The surroundings of Obereggen, near our Hotel Cristal, offer a Nordic skiing track of over 100 km. Nordic skiers can start in the centre of Nova Ponente/Deutschnofen and Monte S. Pietro/Petersberg and take in the fantastic South Tyrolean nature. At a height of 1,380 metres awaits a spectacular view of Catinaccio/Rosengarten, Latemar and the snowy winter wonderland all over. Visit the track of 25 km in Nova Ponente/Deutschnofen with its many entry possibilities. Or try out the sunny track at the foot of the place of pilgrimage Pietralba/Maria Weißenstein in Monte S. Pietro/Petersberg.

If you are looking to ski on the perfectly prepared slopes between Mt. Corno Bianco/Weißhorn and Mt. Corno Nero/Schwarzhorn, leading all the way to the Lavazè pass at 1,800 metres altitude, you find a shuttle bus for Nordic skiers, taking you to the starting point of the track. The cross-country tracks lead you for 80 km across meadows and fields all the way to Val di Fiemme, the cross-country centre of Italy in Trentino.
Here a snow maker ensures ideal snow conditions 100% of all times and thus a perfect ski holiday in South Tyrol. The daily fee for the use of the slopes is 4.00 Euro, the weekly cost is 25.00 Euro.
