Sledging at the gateway to the Dolomites, near Hotel Cristal

Sledging in the Dolomites or rather in Obereggen, is possible near our Hotel Cristal. The winter in Val d’Ega/Eggental offers the perfect conditions for sledging fun in South Tyrol because tobogganing in South Tyrol is the ideal winter activity during a holiday in Italy with your kids. A day of sledging in Obereggen is a highlight for all our guests – no matter big or small.

The toboggan run in Obereggen is just next to our Hotel Cristal. Start at the Epircher-Laner mountain lodge and sledge across the Latemar forest down to the Obereggen valley station. The natural run with own snow makers is 2.5km long and ideal for families with kids. The Ochsenweide gondola car takes you to the Epircher-Laner mountain lodge at 1,830 metres, covering 280 metres of altitude. Those about to sledge in the Dolomites can also reach the Epircher-Laner shelter by foot. Treat yourself here to one of the homemade delicacies before embarking on the downhill ride back to the valley.

Night owls beware! The toboggan run in Val d’Ega/Eggental in South Tyrol is illuminated in the evenings. Every Tuesday and Friday from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. you can take the gondola car up to the mountain and come down on a sledge. Yes, sledging near the Dolomites might be even more fun than you could possibly imagine.
